About Us


You could drive for miles and you won’t find another bakery like Country Cakes & Bakes. Our products are rooted in the simplicity of marrying the finest ingredients together to produce the most consistent, high quality product that you cannot get anywhere else. 

Beth Spangler, owner of Country Cakes & Bakes, is a hometown girl at heart. After high school, she attended the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with an associates degree in Patisserie and Baking. Upon graduation, she worked in several bakeries for 5 years, but none delivered their products with the same quality and love that Beth was committed to creating.

So she took matters into her own hands and began baking cakes out of her own home and selling her goods at farmer’s markets. With massive growth via word of mouth, Beth’s home was being taken over by flour and frosting. It was time to buy a storefront! She purchased an old ice cream shop in New Holland, Ohio, and changed it into a bakery, opening in March of 2015. And as they say, the rest is history!

People come from miles away to visit Country Cakes & Bakes. Stepping into the bakery you will be greeted by a welcoming staff, with the small town atmosphere, and smelling of delicious cakes and cookies. Being part of a small community, our customers become like family to us. We celebrate high school graduations, marriages, babies, and retirements.
